Idioms are a great and rather easy way to help your students use more figurative language in their writing. This quiz consists of 15 different common idioms, where they have to help each other unfold their meaning and usage.

Having worked for 8 years as a qualified teacher in Denmark, I’ve developed a bundle of icebreakers for English language learners. Improving another language ought to be spiced with both fun and engaging activities. I usually use one of my speedtivities (which I’ve named them) in the beginning of the lesson to help them transfer the students’ language.
